I’m working in a small town in Sweden called Koeping. After dinner, I had the privilege of secretly entering a small private automobile museum late at night, and it was incredible. More than that, the stories told by the gentleman who guided me were fascinating. Whether it’s a Bugatti, a Peugeot Bébé, or a Benz SSK, all are in running condition, and he mentioned casually driving them around from time to time. He shared an interesting tidbit about the SSK, mentioning that its cylinder block was cracked, so they exchanged it with one from the official Mercedes-Benz museum, rendering the SSK there incapable of actual driving. There’s also a Pierce-Arrow here, a special version for the president, surprisingly featuring synchronized gears for a car from the 1910s. Unfortunately, it’s only open to the public during the summer.
